Transfer pad printing commonly known as pad printing
is an indirect offset gravure process originally
used in the watch making industry in Switzerland to decorate
watch faces. It has now developed to be one of the major
methods for decorating the surface of flat, convex, concave
and generally uneven surfaces. Pad printing can be used
to decorate a variety of materials including glass, plastic,
wood, and metal.
At stable print we can print 1,2,3 and 4 spot colours
or even four colour process on our machines in one operation.
Our range of machines can be fitted with various bolt
on extras to allow for single jig shuttle operations for
multi- colour work on small quantities, carrousel conveyors
for medium quantities, linear conveyors for large quantities
and even robotics for longer production runs. The in line
pre treatment of plastics is also possible when
required with our bolt on flaming units.
We can even arrange for custom-built machine tooling if
required. For example to allow components to be printed
both sides in one process.
Facilities are available to make low cost printing plates
in house for shorter runs or we can arrange for hardened
steel plates for longer production runs. |
